Back in the days of Windows XP, I played a game called Webkinz, which deserves a post of its own, but from there I tried out a game called club penguin, and had a membership to it for many years. When I started the Minecraft server club penguin was a huge inspiration to how I wanted the layout and community to be.

I am aware of the overwhelming popularity (toxicity) of the club penguin island, but I decided to give it a shot anyway, and yes the mobile version sucks and the char filter is too aggressive. However I have found the PC version to be quite enjoyable, and really appreciate all the remastered music and references to the original. This has reminded me of my idea of making a full replica of the original, although I’m weary of trying to do too many projects at once.

Also, upon polling new players on the server I’ve learned that quite a few players are finding the server thanks to Jsmovieguy’s PMC project posts, so I’ve decided to hop on that bandwagon as it requires little effort and has only positive results?
